Philmac IPS Series fittings come pre-assembled/ready for use with all SDR's/pressure ratings of IPS-OD poly pipe. No solvent cementing or special tools are needed. Simply insert the pipe into the fitting until feeling the first point of resistance/then tighten the nut. Visual stops/gradually increasing mechanical resistance as the nut is turned prevents over-tightening. Ther result is a fitting with 200 psi cold water rating, high pullout resistance/longevity for many years in buried applications.
