High-density Polyethylene (HDPE) Corrugated Sleeves are used in hot and cold potable-water distribution systems, primarily in commercial applications where the potable tubing is installed in the slab. Designed for use with Uponor AquaPEX crosslinked polyethylene (PEX-a) tubing, the sleeve provides protection during installation and allows for removal and replacement of the tubing, if necessary. This product can also be used in radiant heating and cooling systems with Wirsbo hePEX tubing. However, if using Uponor AquaPEX tubing (which does not have an oxygen barrier), the tubing can only be used in systems containing no ferrous corrodible components or where ferrous components are isolated from the tubing.
